If Jung Eun-chae were to join the drama it would be her first major role since "The Guest - Drama" in 2018. The lead roles for "The King: Eternal Monarch" have already been confirmed as Lee Min-ho and Kim Go-eun, but at this stage of development news of second leads is expected before minor appearances.
"The King: Eternal Monarch" is a fantasy romance drama expected to air sometime next year. Expectations for it are very high, since in addition to being Lee Min-ho's first project since his military discharge, it will also mark the reunification of director Baek Sang-hoon and screenwriter Kim Eun-sook of "Descendants of the Sun".
