[HanCinema's News] Jung Woo-joo Claims No Regrets for Exposure Scenes in "Hit the Spot"

In a recent interview, actress Jung Woo-joo claimed that she had no regrets for allowing herself to be exposed on camera whle filming "Hit the Spot" last year. Jung Woo-joo felt compelled to make this statement following an incident on the night of February 19th, where she kept getting alerts on her social media accounts. Apparently, a new community has only just recently read a social media post she had made about her experiences on the drama.

Apparently there was some sort of misunderstanding that Jung Woo-joo had been coerced into participating in the relevant scenes. However, Jung Woo-joo claimed that she appeared in the streaming drama of her own free will, and did not regret her decision to do so. Jung Woo-joo stated that she had deleted the original post which had prompted the controversy, and asked people not to continue claiming she had been coerced during the filming "Hit the Spot" to avoid harming those who she had worked with on the drama.

The post in question appeared last December where Jung Woo-joo asked, hypothetically, whether people would only ever think of her as a nude actress if she appeared in a nude scene. This was an apparent reference to here appearance in "Hit the Spot" as an unclothed character. Though Jung Woo-joo had only agreed to strip down to her underwear for the scene, director Lee Yoon-ah asked her to also appear topless and without underwear, and said that Jung Woo-joo would be replaced if she refused.

The original post went on to describe the thematic reasoning for the request, which Jung Woo-joo claimed to find persuasive. Jung Woo-joo also said that the filming itself was quite gentle, with the crew being very considerate. Jung Woo-joo felt they were being very considerate toward her. However, Jung Woo-joo also mentioned in the post that she felt like she was in a very low mood despite all of that. In the contemporary retraction, Jung Woo-joo thanked readers for showing support and concern toward her.
