[HanCinema's News] Kim Jeong-hoon Loses Lawsuit Against Ex-girlfriend
By William Schwartz | Published on
According to recently released legal documents, the judge in charge of actor and singer Kim Jeong-hoon's lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend has dismissed the charges. Kim Jeong-hoon alleged that the ex-girlfriend deliberately spread untrue rumors that he tried to force her to have an abortion as a means of blackmail. He was seeking eighty thousand dollars in damages. The original news story prompting the lawsuit dates to September of 2020.

The judge stated that the materials provided by Kim Jeong-hoon were insufficient to prove that the ex-girlfriend's intent was blackmail and to deliberately spread false information. The ex-girlfriend has since given birth to a child that has been recognized as being fathered by Kim Jeong-hoon. This was deemed as complicating any claim that her tagging Kim Jeong-hoon on social media posts for pregnancy tests and fetal pictures was intended as a form of harassment.
Kim Jeong-hoon is probably best known for his musical career. His last acting project was the evening soap opera "Let's Make a New Start" from 2016 where he played a leading role. He has no confirmed upcoming projects, and appeared to lose interest in acting long before news of this scandal first broke.
