[HanCinema's News] Kim Nam-yee Charms Viewers in "Goe-ri and Naeng-so"

The short drama "Goe-ri and Naeng-so" didn't get much press ahead of its November 22nd premiere. But eagle-eyed fans noticed a familiar face among the supporting cast anyway. Kim Nam-yee played the aunt of Nam Joo-hyuk's character in "Twenty Five Twenty One" back in 2022. And she's followed that role up with comic acting as the security guard Jin Gon-dae. Her main job in the drama, it seems, is to prevent women from bringing their boyfriends into the apartment building.

She engages in other sneaky behavior as well, such as at a rooftop cookout. Kim Nam-yee's charm sticks out, not just because of her humorous behavior, but her humorous speaking habits. Despite her longstanding presence in South Korean dramas, Kim Nam-yee manages to feel like a fresh face simply because of her distinctive scene-stealing approach. "Goe-ri and Naeng-so" has been her only screen project this year as many hope more casting directors take note of her talents here for the next.
