[HanCinema's News] Kim Young-dae Cast for "School 2021"

Actor Kim Young-dae was recently confirmed for the upcoming "School 2021" and has also been stated to have a starring role in the television drama. The long-running genre series on KBS has been a stepping stone which was used by many famous celebrities today to improve their profile. Kim Young-dae already has decent name recognition however, thanks to his role in "The Penthouse" where he also plays a student, but not in the leading role.

In "School 2021" Kim Young-dae will play Jung Young Joo, a transfer student who has history with the character played by Kim Yoban, who is to date the only other confirmed cast member. In a statement, Kim Young-dae expressed gratitude for the strange occurence of being allowed this opportunity. Kim Young-dae also promised to do his best to showcase his character's rage and pain, as well as expand himself as an actor.

The twenty-four year old actor got his start in web-dramas, first appearing in such projects as "Just Too Bored" and "OK to Be Sensitive" back in 2018. Ironically, Kim Young-dae got his start playing college-age characters, so the move toward playing a high schooler in the supporting cast of "Extraordinary You" in 2019 was a step backward, despite the role being his big break into mainstream dramas. "School 2021" is expected to be broadcast on television in November this year.
