On September 24th, the medical manufacturing company LaMeditech confirms that they were sponsoring "Dear Hyeri" which premiered the previous day on Genie TV and ENA. LaMeditech's motivation for this sponsorship is to help promote its Puraxel product. The beauty brand device uses lasers to create small holes in the skin to allow for better absorption of cosmetic products. Lead actress Shin Hye-sun was already under contract with LaMeditech as an ambassador for this brand.

Shin Hye-sun's contract with LaMeditech was signed back in March, accordiing to an official company representative. It was not immediately clear what influence, if any, this contract may have had on "Dear Hyeri" as a project. LaMeditech was founded back in 2005 and went public on the KOSDAQ this past June. "Dear Hyeri" is a healing drama about an announcer and her ex-boyfriend that takes place sometime after her sibling's disappearance. Its first episode had television ratings of 2.024%.
