On June 28th Wells Entertainment confirmed that actor Lee Gi-seop would be appearing in "Alchemy of Souls" on tvN. The move follows Lee Gi-seop signing a contract with the talent agency. In their official statement, Wells Entertainment expressed pride in the event, promising that this was only the beginning, and that they had plans to get Lee Gi-seop roles in many other television dramas as well as going forward, in a wide variety of roles. The actor is forty years old.

Lee Gi-seop will be playing the role of Eunuch Oh, who is under the employ of Prince Go, a role which is being played by Shin Seung-ho. Lee Gi-seop is best known for his work in musical theater, but his attempts to break into television acting have had little success despite a strong debut in "Signal" back in 2015 with a named role. Wells Entertainment has clear confidence in his talent, with future roles for the actor likely hinging on how his performance in "Alchemy of Souls" is received.
