Lee Jun-hyuk noted with some irony that this put him in the right frame of mind to do a melodrama right now. As "The Roundup: No Way Out" is an action movie, many physical stunts were involved. However, Lee Jun-hyuk was actually referring to the intense exercise regiment he underwent to put on nineteen kilograms of muscle. Ironically, Lee Jun-hyuk started the regiment because he wanted to eat hamburgers and chicken, the objective usually being to lose late.
Lee Jun-hyuk was motivated both to have Ma Dong-seok's attacks not hurt as much, as well as to have his own hits against Ma Dong-seok seem plausible, as Ma Dong-seok's physique is infamous for its sheer size. On a personal level, Lee Jun-hyuk was pleased to show a new side of himself through the performance. Lee Jon-hyuk claimed to be surprised at just how much impressive physical confrontation he was capable of on screen.
Lee Jun-hyuk described his character in "The Roundup: No Way Out" as being filled with confidence, further emphasizing the appropriate nature of the workout regimen. Lee Jun-hyuk said that in general, he wanted to be remembered as a fun actor. "The Roundup: No Way Out" will premiere in South Korean theaters on May 31st.
