[HanCinema's News] Lee Na-young Confirmed for "One Day Off"

The South Korean streaming service wavve recently announced a new project from director Lee Jong-pil, who is best known for "Samjin Company English Class" from 2020. "One Day Off" will star actress Lee Na-young in the title role as a schoolteacher in the nineties. Over eight twenty-five minute episodes, Park Ha-kyung will search for a missing person over one Saturday afternoon, finding recognition and comfort along the way.

The script comes courtesy of Son Mi who also worked on "Samjin Company English Class" with Lee Jong-pil. This is the first serial style television drama from either of these professionals. Lee Na-young will also be coming off a long break to appear in the project. Her last screen credit was in "Romance is a Bonus Book" fro 2019, where she played the leading role as an employee at a publishing company. Lee Jong-suk was the male lead.
"One Day Off" has been described as encompassing a wide variety of genre elements, from drama to melo to human to comedy to fantasy to better arouse viewer interests. Filming for "One Day Off" will begin in October. The drama will be available to stream to viewers domestically on Wavve, no information for international streaming.
