[HanCinema's News] "One Win" Reunites Song Kang-ho and Cho Jung-seok for First Time in Eleven Years

Back in 2013, Cho Jung-seok was one of many actors in the ensemble of "The Face Reader" starring Song Kang-ho in the leading role as a master geomancer leading other geomancers in a royal power struggle. Cho Jung-seok was not yet the big name he is today, but coming off his leading role in the relatively light-hearted television drama "Lee Soon-shin is the Best" allowed him to show strong range. Soon thereafter, Cho Jung-seok transitioned into being a big star.

"Pilot" from earlier this year was a big hit for him, scoring over 4.7 million admissions at the South Korean box office. And now, Cho Jung-seok returns in a special appearance in "One Win" as the manager of Supergirls the rival volleyball team of Pink Storm. Song Kang-ho in the lead role plays the manager of Pink Storm, attempting to win a singular game, alongside other characters who he works with on the team.

The banter expected from Song Kang-ho and Cho Jung-seok is a selling point of the movie, functioning as it does as a metaphor for their actual careers. In a statement, Song Kang-ho stated that it was a pleasure to work with Cho Jung-seok again. Cho Jung-seok has yet to commit to another full lead role, though he is expected to make another cameo in "Resident Playbook" as his "Hospital Playlist" character. "One Win" will premiere in South Korean theaters on December 4th.
