[HanCinema's News] Park Jae-chan Accused of Bullying
By William Schwartz | Published on
Park Jae-chan recently successfully concluded the streaming Boys Love drama "Semantic Error" where he plays a college student caught up in an opposites attract style romance. But with increased fame has come increased scrutiny, as the twenty-year-old actor now stands accusing of school bullying. The allegations originate on Twitter. Park Jae-chan has been described there as trash who relentlessly harassed girls (but not boys), and who also smoked alongside a larger bullying entourage in classrooms.

The person sourcing the allegations also claims that there is photographic evidence on social media that was uploaded by Park Jae-chan himself, though it has since been deleted. The commenters called on others who might have saved the incriminating image to share it. To prove that they actually knew Park Jae-chan, the person sourcing the allegations uploaded personal graduation photos from the same elementary and middle schools that Park Jae-chan attended.
The commenter in question claimed to be one year younger than Park Jae-chan. In a subtweet, another commenter backed up the allegation, claiming that Park Jae-chan was infamous for smoking even in the context of the entourage, and said anyone attending their middle school could confirm the substance of the complaint. Apparently Park Jae-chan's tormenting of women took the form of touching their faces or bodies without permission, and even eating their food.
The second commenter also claimed to have seen Park Jae-chan harass boys as well, specifically a former friend who Park Jae-chan called to his table just for the sake of harassment. While Park Jae-chan first came out as a celebrity through his affiliation with the boy groups DONGKIZ, "Semantic Error" has been much more significant for his visibility. There has been no official response to the allegations yet as of this writing.
