On July 2nd Oh Chang-seok's agency confirmed that the actor was in a relationship with Lee Chae-eun, a woman who he dated on a still-airing variety program. On that day the two were spotted at a baseball game together although filming for their segment on 'Taste of Love' has already ended. This has, unsurprisingly, caused a spike in interest regarding 'Taste of Love'.

This is not the first time 'Taste of Love' has inspired real-life romance. Lee Pil-mo married the non-celebrity woman he met on the program in the variety show's second season. Compared to past programs where celebrities date each other, the probability of Oh Chang-seok's faking this relationship is lower because his partner, a non-celebrity woman, gains no benefit from faking a relationship.
A recent episode of the variety show details Oh Chang-seok doing nice things for Lee Chae-eun on her birthday, such as rushing to the convenience store in the middle of a picnic to get her seaweed soup, and later singing for her at a party where her friends are also present. The variety show is scoring 4.8 ratings and is at the top of its timeslot.
