This unexpected fan meet-and-greet event was held thanks to his interview on tvN's You Quiz on the Block, which aired on October 29th.
Being asked by the host regarding the viewership pledge, Lee answered that he will "wear the Grand Prince Suyang costume, exactly as he wore in the 2013 award-winning film "The Face Reader", and meet with his fans if the average local viewership exceeds 3%".
After this announcement, the average household viewership of the 1st episode of "Nice to Not Meet You" reached 5.5%, becoming the 2nd most-watched Monday-Tuesday slot TV series in 2025.
The event began with the fan-made video, filled with Lee Jung-jae's filmography, which was followed by Lee's stage entrance and appreciation speech for his fans, stating, "I'm genuinely grateful to all my fans who've attended today's event".
Lee continued by saying, "I didn't imagine this much attention, but it feels too good to finally meet with my fans through this event".
Filled with diverse surprises, such as the appearance of a comedian, Jo Se-ho, the host of You Quiz on the Block, and a lucky draw event, Lee's fan meet-and-greet ended with the actor's closing statement, saying, "I'd like to sincerely thank all my fans and staff for making this whole event an unforgettable moment".
Lee added, "I'll try to hold this kind of event more often, where fans and I can communicate more often".
