[HanCinema's News] Press Conference Held for "Bo-ra! Deborah"

On April 12th, a press conference for the upcoming ENA television drama "Bo-ra! Deborah" was held at the Stanford Hotel in th Mapo district of Seoul near the Korean Film Archive. Actors Yoo In-na, Yoon Hyun-min, Joo Sang-wook, and Hwang Chan-sung were in attendance alongside director Lee Tae-gon-I. Yoo In-na stars in the title role as a love guru, while Yoon Hyun-min is the male lead, a publishing company executive with trouble in his love life.

Yoo In-na claimed in the press conference to have had good chemistry with Yoon Hyun-min. Yoo In-na said that Yoon Hyun-min was so easy to get along with that she imaged he would have good chemistry with anyone. Yoo In-na said that on-set Yoon Hyun-min seemed really determined to make every scene more smile-inducing, and that the shooting process was an enjoyable one. Yoon Hyun-min likewise claimed that all of his scenes with Yoo In-na came out well.

Yoon Hyun-min also said that Yoo In-na took care of all the people around her. For a more specific example, after mentioning once that he liked Jelly, Yoo In-na made a point of having jelly available every day. For that, Yoon Hyun-min was thankful. Describing his role as the head of the publishing company, Joo Sang-wook said that despite his character claiming to be a free-spirited person, in actuality his pursuit of a romantic relationship is fairly single-minded.

Joo Sang-wook also said that while he's always been a fan of romantic comedies, that the people on the set of "Bo-ra! Deborah" showed significant charisma. Joo Sang-wook claimed that this charm made their performances appealing, and that it seemed like this would also make the television drama itself appealing. Hwang Chan-sung claimed that his character overflowed with no insufficiencies in his role as the boyfriend of the leading lady and the owner of a fried chicken franchise.

The significance of the praise is that the character in question doesn't seem attached to Bo-ra, letting her come and go as she pleases, although this doesn't mean that he's not sincere to her. However, this complacency does allow him to see that Yoon Hyun-min's character has a different meaning to her. "Bo-ra! Deborah" will begin airing on ENA on April 12th at nine in the evening Korean time, and is being distributed by Amazon Prime in international markets.
