On the 17th, it was revealed that a partner who embezzled funds from Heo Kyung-hwan's company was sentenced to prison in the first trial. Yang, who was in charge of the audit, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and fined 10 million won for embezzling 2.73 billion won in funds from a chicken breast company run by Heo Kyung-hwan.

Heo Kyung-hwan said, "I was betrayed by a trusted colleague, but I was able to stand up again thanks to a trusted colleague. Thank you for being surprised, cheering and worrying about me today", he said calmly.

He also added, "Thank you so much to the customers and the people who smile at my jokes, and I will do my best to broadcast and do business". Internet users who saw this sent messages of support to Heo Kyung-hwan.

Meanwhile, Heo Kyung-hwan appeared on an SBS current affairs/cultivation program which ended in January and is actively communicating through social media.

I think comedians are supposed to give laughter and not pressure.

So I was trying to keep this on the down low but there have been many articles coming up today. (I guess this is all part of getting attention.)

I was betrayed by a trusted colleague, but I was able to stand up again thanks to a trusted colleague. Thank you for being surprised, cheering and worrying about me today. It's a tough lesson but this is how we grow and the company becomes sturdier.

Thank you so much to the customers and the people who smile at my jokes, and I will do my best to broadcast and do business.
