"The Happy Ending for Sera" (2025)

Directed by Kim Lok-kyoung

With Lee Ji-hyun-XVII, Jeong Byung-doo, Jin So-yeon,...

Synopsis
Sera glances into the silhouette of 'The one who died standing on the brick wall'. Detectives are tongue-in-cheek, calling it a bizarre case, and Pil-joong, who works in the film industry together, spreads trivial rumors and adds that he doesn't know why he committed suicide unfairly. Sera asks "Would it have been less unfair if you killed at least one person?" unravels the inner side of a character full of resentment, anger, and 'han' in a black comedy way. Director Kim Lokkyoung's third feature, The Happy Ending for Sera , unravels the inner side of a character full of resentment, anger, and 'han' in a black comedy way. In fact, Sera wants to kill more than one person, including the hypocritical director she encounters at the workplace, actors who are different from the outside, and the Pil-joong she doesn't know whether he is a friend or an enemy. Love suddenly comes to Sera, who continued shadow boxing every night while quenching such emotions. What change will the love bring? Will it be possible to stop shadow boxing by releasing her resentment, or will it be another uppercut? It is a work that stands out with cartoonish exaggeration, concise structure, and cheerful rhythm, providing a strange sense of liberation at the end of the play. CHA Hanbi
