Hong Sang-soo Decorated by French Government

Director Hong Sang-soo received a medal on Friday from the French government for his contribution to promoting cultural exchange between the two countries.

He was presented the honor by French culture minister Fleur Pellerin at a sideline event of the Busan International Film Festival in the southwestern port city.

Pellerin visited Korea ahead of French President François Hollande's trip to Seoul next month. The two countries will celebrate 130 years of diplomatic ties next year.
