[Interview] "Low Life - Drama" Yang Se-jong, "I Want to Act Like Ryu Seung-ryong When I'm Older"

K-Star News met with Yang Se-jong, star of the original Disney+ series "Low Life - Drama", at a location in central Seoul on Wednesday. Yang Se-jong shared his feelings about ending his work successfully.

"Low Life - Drama" is a story of deceiving and deceiving hard-working livelihood villagers who flock to take over a treasure ship buried under the sea in 1977, and it was expected that director Kang Yoon-sung, who directed the series "Big Bet" and the movie "The Outlaws", met with Yoon Tae-ho, the author of the webtoons "Inside Men" and "Misaeng: Incomplete Life".

Actor Yang Se-jong is back with a tough and impulsive character Hee-dong, through the drama "Low Life - Drama" . He left a strong impression on viewers with a completely different image from his previous romance, and he expressed his affection for his work and his philosophy about acting.

"When I first received the script", he said, "I said I would do it the next day after I read it", and added, "I wanted to try the character Hee-dong because he has a rough and raw tendency". While acting, he said, "I enjoyed the part where the impulse came up", and added, "Human Yang Se-jong has a lot of emotions, but Hee-dong does not, so I felt pleasure while acting".

Yang chose Ryu Seung-ryong who worked with him as a mood maker on the set. "We also watched performances in private and spent a lot of time together", Yang Se-jong said. "He is a very warm and humorous person". He added that he also got along naturally with actress Kim Min-VI.

Yang Se-jong praised Ryu Seung-ryong's performance. "What I thought was amazing about Ryu Seung-ryong was that he calculated the entire narrative of the script", he said. "It's very difficult to make an emotional connection to that part. I think he's really amazing because he did it".

He added, "I have hope that if I get older, I will try to play Ryu Seung-ryong's role as Gwan-seok", adding, "I think Ryu Seung-ryong's acting is very difficult".
