Set to premiere on May 11th, the Tving original series "The Legend of Kitchen Soldier" is a military cooking fantasy drama. It follows a kitchen soldier who wields a kitchen knife instead of a gun and an apron instead of an ammo belt, embarking on a quest that ultimately leads him to become a legend.
Based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name, the series draws from writer Choi Ryong's real-life experience as a military cook, offering a grounded and realistic story. Combined with director Jo Nam-hyung's stylish direction, the drama is expected to deliver both hearty laughs and touching moments. A strong ensemble cast, including Park Jihoon, Yoon Kyung-ho, Han Dong-hee, and Lee Hong-nae will portray unique soldier characters stationed at Gangrim Outpost.
Jeon So-young will play Jeong Min-ah, a key figure who has shared a connection with Park Jihoon's character since before his enlistment. She later becomes a reporter for the National Defense Daily and reunites with him, developing a new emotional arc while driving another major storyline in the series.
Previously, Jeon So-young made a strong impression as Min-seo in "Honour" and took on a leading role in the Netflix series "If Wishes Could Kill", establishing herself as a promising rising star.
"The Legend of Kitchen Soldier" will be released on Tving on May 11th.
