Jewelry's Park Infected With Flu

Park Jung-ah, a member of girl band Jewelry, was confirmed to have been infected with the H1N1 influenza virus Tuesday.

Park, 28, was taken to an emergency room at a Seoul hospital after showing symptoms of cold and exhaustion Monday afternoon. She has been taking the anti-viral medicine Tamiflu in an isolated room since then.

Park, who announced she was leaving the four-member girl group along with Seo In-young a couple of weeks ago, has been working laboriously to promote her last album as a Jewelry member.

With Park's sudden illness, Jewelry is expected to suffer a setback in its activities.

Park made her debut as one of the founding members of the group in 2001.

박정아 신종플루 확진

쥬얼리의 박정아가 신종플루 확진 판정을 받았다.

21일 오후 감기 몸살과 탈진 증세를 보이며 병원 응급실로 이송됐던 박정아는 22일 오후 병원으로부터 이같은 진단을 받았다. 이미 21일부터 타미플루를 처방 받아온 박정아는 곧바로 격리 병동에 입원해 관련 치료를 받고 있다.

박정아는 최근 쥬얼리로서 마지막 앨범인 6집 리패키지 활동을 위해 강행군을 마다하지 않았다. 팀 탈퇴로 마음 고생이 심했던 것도 컨디션에 적잖은 영향을 끼친 것으로 보인다.

박정아의 갑작스런 확진 판정으로 인해 쥬얼리 활동은 당분간 차질이 불가피해졌다.

박정아는 2001년 쥬얼리의 창립 멤버로 가요계에 데뷔했다.
