Actress Jo Hye-joo steps into the crime noir genre with the new drama "Born Guilty".

Set in a lawless city during the redevelopment boom of the 1980s, "Born Guilty" tells the story of Paeng-i, a 'devil of the era' who charges recklessly toward his goals, and Saeng-dak, a survival-driven organization member, as they risk everything in a high-stakes heist to turn their lives around. Based on the webtoon of the same name, the series has garnered attention for its intense world-building and detailed character portrayals.

Jo Hye-joo plays Bok-hee, the key supplier in the drug business and Paeng-i's first love. With striking looks that immediately capture attention, Bok-hee's unpredictable personality makes her actions hard to foresee. She joins the drug operation at Paeng-i's request, shaking up the entire scene.

Jo Hye-joo debuted in the 2018 web drama "Just Too Bored" and has built a strong presence through roles in "Search: WWW", "Reborn Rich", "The Secret Romantic Guesthouse", and "My Demon". Last year, she took on her first leading role in "Dear Hyeri", and in "Born Guilty" she is expected to showcase a deeper level of acting, delivering a completely new and intense portrayal at the center of this crime noir story.
