Actor Jung Woo-sung resigned as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) for the first time in nine years.

Jung Woo-sung's agency, the Artist Company, said on the 22nd, "Jung Woo-sung recently resigned as a goodwill ambassador to the United Nations Refugee Agency", adding, "He has worked hard as a goodwill ambassador at the UN Refugee Agency for a long time, and his resignation is a natural decision".
"It's not just because of political attacks", it said. "He wants to focus on the actor's natural work".
Jung Woo-sung resigned from his position as a Goodwill Ambassador to the U.N. Refugee Agency on the 3rd. This is the first time in nine years since Jung Woo-sung was appointed as an honorary ambassador for the Asia-Pacific region of the U.N. Refugee Agency in May 2014 and became a Goodwill Ambassador the following year.
