Ha Young Leaves "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call 2"

Actress Ha Young, who became embroiled in controversy over her great-grandfather's alleged pro-Japanese activities, has withdrawn from the sequel to the Netflix series "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call".

Netflix announced on the 1st, "Respecting the actress's position, Ha Young will not appear in the sequel to "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call"".

"The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call" is a medical drama centered on a genius surgeon who once worked on battlefields. Ha Young gained recognition through the series for her role as nurse Cheon Jang-mi. The production team had originally planned to film "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call 2" and "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call 3" back-to-back beginning in October.

Previously, following the release of Netflix's "Our Sticky Love" last month, Ha Young appeared on KBS 2TV's variety show "Problem Child in House", where she introduced herself as coming from a family of doctors spanning four generations.

Shortly afterward, it was reported that her great-grandfather was Ahn Sang-ho (1872-1927), a doctor who lived during the Japanese colonial period. Online allegations regarding his activities and possible pro-Japanese ties subsequently emerged.

Ha Young's SBS drama "The Long Shot Trial" has nearly completed filming. Although it was originally scheduled to air next year, its future has now become uncertain. Regarding whether Ha Young's scenes will be edited out, an SBS representative said, "We are currently discussing the matter carefully".
