On the 22nd, his agency PA Entertainment announced that Jung Woong-in will appear in the original TVING series "Kitchen Soldier".

"Kitchen Soldier" is a military-based comedy drama in which a cook who wears a kitchen knife instead of a gun and an apron instead of a bullet becomes a legend on the quest screen to save his life.

Based on the popular webtoon of Naver of the same name, it will provide fresh genre fun and touching emotions with realistic and warm-looking stories based on the experiences of the actual cook-turned-writer and sensual production by director Cho Nam-hyung.

Jung Woong-in takes the center stage of the drama as Lieutenant Colonel Baek Choon-ik, the commander of the 1st battalion. Lieutenant Colonel Baek Choon-ik is a leader who listens to small stories of soldiers and has a gentle charisma that makes his officers nervous just by his existence.

Jung Woong-in, who plays Baek Choon-ik, will play a central role in leading major episodes of the play, intertwining with strong personalities such as Kang Seong-jae (Park Jihoon), Park Jae-yeong (Yoon Kyung-ho), Jo Ye-rin (Han Dong-hee), and Yoon Dong-hyeon (Lee Hong-nae). It is expected that Jung Woong-in's unique detailed acting and weight will further enhance the immersion of the work.

Meanwhile, "Kitchen Soldier" will be released for the first time in 2026.
