Production company IWill Media announced on the 23rd that Lee Young-ae and Yoo Ji-tae will star as the leads in the new drama "Jae-yi's Young-in".
"Jae-yi's Young-in" is a mystery melodrama that tells the story of a man and a woman who share similar pain and learn how to live again together. As the two, left alone in the world, fall in love, their tangled past and hidden truths begin to unravel.
This marks the first time in 25 years that Lee Young-ae and Yoo Ji-tae will appear in the same project since the 2001 film "One Fine Spring Day".
In the drama, Lee Young-ae plays Joo Young-in, an art teacher and painter grieving the loss of her son. Opposite her, Yoo Ji-tae takes on the role of Shin Jae-yi, the head of an architecture firm with a pure, boyish charm and a free spirit.
The series will be directed by Oh Ki-hwan, known for the film "The Art of Seduction" while writer Jo Eun-jeong, recognized for works such as "Hotel King" and "Feast of the Gods", will pen the script.
"Jae-yi's Young-in" is currently in discussions with major broadcasters regarding its scheduling.
