Kim Dong-hwi-I to Join the Military on the 24th of September

Actor Kim Dong-hwi-I (29) will join the active military in September.

According to his agency Ace Factory on the 7th, Kim Dong-hwi-I will join the army on September 24th.

Ace Factory said, "Kim Dong-hwi-I will enter the 5th Division of the Army in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, and fulfill his defense obligations for 18 months".

"We ask for warm encouragement so that Kim Dong-hwi-I can faithfully fulfill his duty of defense and return with a healthy appearance".

Meanwhile, Kim Dong-hwi-I, a graduate of the acting department at Seoul National University of the Arts, debuted in the movie "The Royal Tailor" in 2014. Since then, he has acted in several short films including "Nomad", "The Child Who Wants" and " The Peter Pan Formula".

In addition, through the movie "In Our Prime" in which he worked with actor Choi Min-sik, he won the New Actor's Award at the Chunsa International Film Festival and the Blue Dragon Film Awards, emerging as a rising star in Chungmuro.

He also appeared in dramas such as "Secret Forest 2", "Missing: The Other Side" and "The Perfect Deal". In the movie "Troll Factory" which was released in March, he worked with Son Sukku, Kim Sung-cheol, and Hong Kyung.
