Kim Heechul joins the army with 600 international fans

Kim Heechul from boy group Super Junior joined the national service while hundred of fans saw him off.

He stood in front of fans and reporters at the training camp in Nonsan on the 1^st at 1PM. He wore a black jacket with jeans and sneakers, topped off with a cap.

As the fans kept shouting his name, he seemed to awkwardly scratch his head. Then took off the cap he was wearing, revealing his shaved head. He said, "Thank you for coming in this hot weather. I think I look better shaved than I thought. I hope I look pretty in the pictures".

Waving at the fans for the last time, he hurried off into camp despite the reporters' request for a salute, saying he will do it four weeks later.

Fans all over from Russia, Turkey, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand and more flew into Korea just to see him off and proved that he truly was a Hallyu star.

Fans waved him off holding up signboards saying, "We will wait 2 years like 2 days", "Be healthy like the universal star that you are", "Who will raise the cows without Kim Heechul?", "Let's comeback in 2 years and love again" and such.

Kim Heechul will receive 4 weeks of basic training and serve as a public duty for 23 months after that.
