Kim Jang-hoon to Publish Dokdo Photo Collection

Singer Kim Jang-hoon will publish a photo collection entitled "Kim Jang-hoon's Dokdo Concert" to commemorate Dokdo Day, which falls on October 25. In addition, he will hold the "Dokdo Festival" from October 26 until November 5 at the "Boda" Visual Art Center in Yeoksamdong, and the festival will include various programs such as a Dokdo photo collection, exhibition of installation art, and library program that keeps rare articles regarding Dokdo.

Kim Jang-hoon will distribute a total of 3,000 photos at no cost in the collection that he will publish with his own personal funds. The photo collection contains various photos of Dokdo, including a photo of Kim Jang-hoon holding a concert on Dokdo, and those photos were taken by the photographer Lee Byung Ho. A person from Kim Jang-hoon's agency said on October 17, "We are inviting public participation by asking people's feelings on Dokdo via Me2Day, a Cyworld personal webpage, and a Naver blog to encourage the production of the photo collection with everybody's participation. We will publish selected writings with the name of the writers in the book, and we will give the photo collection with Kim's autograph as a present".

The "Dokdo Festival" has been planned by the Dokdo Internet website entitled "Truth of Dokdo" (http://www.truthofdokdo.com) along with a professor named Hosaka Yuji at Sejong University. Kim Jang-hoon's agency added, "The photo gallery will be held on the first floor of the Visual Art Center, and the gallery will also operate various programs regarding Dokdo on the other floors".
