The film was released on the 23rd and went straight to first place with 138,761. The accumulation so far is 291,155.

"KIM Jiyoung: Born 1982" is based on a novel about a woman named Kim Ji-young (Jung Yu-mi) who was born in the year 1982.

The characters in the movie were based on real characters played by Jung Yu-mi, Gong Yoo, Kim Mi-kyung, Gong Min-jung, Kim Sung-cheol and others.
