Speaking at the press conference that followed the press screening of "Pacemaker" held on 3 January in Lotte Cinema Konkuk University in Seoul, Kim Myung-min expressed, "I should have taken more care about my appearance. He's so ugly!"
He added, "Yesterday, I watched the movie at the technical premiere, and today, I watched it again. I cannot stand watching my face on the big screen!"
This remark made everyone at the press conference laugh.
In "Pacemaker", Kim Myung-min completely transformed into the character he's portraying - a poor, selfless man called Joo Man Ho. In the movie, he wears artificial teeth and has a physique of a real marathoner.
The inspiring movie tells about a retired national marathoner (Kim Myung-min) who gets the chance of pursuing his longtime dream of running for himself and finishing a full marathon.
"Pacemaker" is the film debut of veteran musical director, Kim Dal-joong. It is produced by Dream Capture Studios and released by Cinergy and Lotte Entertainment. Screening in Korean theaters is scheduled on 19 January.
