Ahead of its scheduled theatrical release in Korea on February 10, 2011, director Lee Kyoo-man's "Children..." is already the focus of much public attention.

As explained by journalist Sung-eun Jang in the Wall Street Journal's Korea Real Time: "It's based on the so-called 'frog boys' case. The incident happened in 1991 when five boys disappeared during a trip to catch frogs at a mountain near their home. While their bodies were found halfway up the mountain in 2002, no one has been accused of a crime in connection with their deaths. The case was closed in March 2006 due to the statute of limitations".
As the WSJ also points out, "Children..." reminds us of the excitement around the globally acclaimed Korean thriller – the 2003 box office hit "Memories of Murder" – which riveted its audience with its depiction of another major unsolved crime – the serial rape and murder of 10 women between 1986 and 1991.
