Synopsis
King Daemusin, Moo-hyool of Goguryeo, is the grandson of Jumong and the son of Yoo-ri. He was born with a prophecy to have a fate where he would "kill his siblings, parents, and offspring, leading to the downfall of the nation." The nobles use this prophecy as a means to weaken the king's authority. King Yoo-ri is forced to declare that he would sacrifice the prince, but he secretly spares his son to live a normal life. Moo-hyool, unaware of his lineage and birthright, grows up as a muralist in a cave where Jumong's tomb was located. Moo-hyool mistakenly believes that King Yoo-ri killed Crown Prince Hae-myeong, so he plans to kill King Yoo-ri to avenge the crown prince's death. After facing many challenges along the way, Moo-hyool reclaims his position as a prince and proves his capabilities by leading the nation to victory in war, ultimately overcoming his ill-fated destiny despite the pressures from the nobles.
