Synopsis
"The East Palace" is the story of Goo Cheon, a man who can traverse the world of ghosts, and Saeng Gang, a court lady with a secret, as they are summoned by the King to unearth the cursed palace's secrets. Nam Joo-hyuk stars as Goo Cheon, who investigates a series of bizarre royal incidents using his ability to slay ghosts with his blade. Roh Yoon-seo plays the court lady Saeng Gang, who was born with the rare ability to hear the voices of the ghosts, aiding Goo Cheon as they draw closer to "The East Palace"'s deep secrets. Secretly overseeing their mission is the complex and layered King, portrayed by Cho Seung-woo. Writers Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won, known for their penchant for Korean occultism through works like "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls" and "The Guest - Drama", join forces with Choi Jeong-gyoo ("The Devil Judge", "Children of Nobody") to bring this series to life.
