Synopsis
Ten years after losing his wife, Seok-ho lives a quiet life without children, working as an agricultural broker on the outskirts of his hometown, Seoul. Perhaps due to his age, he starts experiencing gum pain and visits a dentist, but they find nothing wrong. However, his toothache worsens, sometimes spreading to his head, making him realize that he is growing old, which fills him with sorrow as his body is not what it used to be. On his 55th birthday, his only friend, Byeong-sik, visits him and prepares a birthday dinner. There, Seok-ho meets Byeong-sik's daughter, Se-hee, whom he hasn't seen in a long time. Expecting to see a child, he is surprised by her mature appearance and feels an unfamiliar excitement. Meanwhile, Se-hee, scheming with her boyfriend to extort money for them to afford a place to stay, deliberately approaches her father's friend and succeeds. However, after being betrayed by her boyfriend with another woman and witnessing her father's affair with his assistant, Miss Hong, following his divorce from her mother, Se-hee finds herself lost and with nowhere to go. Amidst her struggles, she begins to feel not only comfort but also love toward Seok-ho, who trusts her unconditionally, leaving her confused. As Se-hee continues to get closer to him, Seok-ho's initial excitement gradually develops into deeper feelings, further complicating his emotions. Torn between lingering feelings for his late wife and guilt toward his friend, he tries to ignore Se-hee's affection.

But with Seok-ho now facing a terminal diagnosis, can love truly blossom between him and his friend's daughter?
