기이한 생각의 바다에서 | gi-i-han saeng-gak-eui ba-da-e-seo
Directed by Choi Jung-dan (최정단)
Release date in South Korea: 2026/First half
Synopsis
A 21-year chronicle exploring the eccentric life and world of thought of the principled Kim Woo-chang.
Kim Woo-chang, a leading Korean thinker, has lived with his wife, Seol Soon-bong, for 40 years in a house with a mountain view, numerous stairs, and a leaky roof. His children urge him to move, but Kim Woo-chang has no intention of doing so. He keeps all of his parents' belongings, never discarding them. One day, Seol Soon-bong suffers an accident and becomes bedridden. He manages the household alone, but his own frail health makes caring for her difficult. He agonizes over writing his final book, "The Horizon of Objects and Being," but fails to deliver.
What meaning do objects and home hold for him? Will he ever complete his final book?
