Synopsis
Myeong-wol, the gisaeng who once captivated Joseon, falls into Seoul in 2017!

In the year 1513, during the Joseon Dynasty, a new Satto (governor) is appointed to a rural village. Hoping to win his favor, the Ibang (local official) sends Myeong-wol — the most celebrated gisaeng of the time — into the Satto's chamber, claiming it to be a local tradition. The Satto is instantly enchanted by her, and the two share a passionate night together. However, at the height of their sex, the Satto dies in Myeong-wol's arms from overexcitement. Accused of causing his death, she is imprisoned and sentenced to drink sa-yak (poison) the following day. While in prison, Myeong-wol desperately prays to the heavens, pleading her innocence. Whether by divine intervention or fate, a flash of light suddenly appears, and she vanishes — only to reappear in modern-day Seoul in the year 2017 through a mysterious time slip. She finds herself at a pension, where she meets Jong-ho, the owner — a man who looks exactly like the Satto. Mistaking him for the governor, Myeong-wol gradually falls in love with him. But soon, a series of mysterious events begins to unfold.
