Synopsis
In a traditional Korean shaman village, during the yearly sacrificial rites, a woman named Han-ne is saved from killing herself in the temple of the nymph by a servant named Man-myeong. Man-myeong looks affectionately after her but the villagers want to kick her out because she may bring bad luck. During the rites, Yoon Pil-joo, the master of the sacrificial rites rapes Han-ne while wearing the ritual mask. In the past, Man-myeong's mother was prey to Pil-joo's carnal desires. Han-ne jumps from the temple and kills herself. Man-myeong discovers that he is Pil-joo's son and follows her to her death.
