Synopsis
Soo-yeon, a screenwriter in Seoul, once dreamed of a sexy, smart guy, and went on countless blind dates, but none of them lived up to her expectations. Her company excluded her from a program because of her academic background, and her lover, after cheating on her with a younger woman, blamed her instead. At age 39, with her last remaining self-esteem shattered, she returned to her hometown of Jindo. Upon arriving in Jindo, Soo-yeon finds relief in the warmth of her childhood friends. Then, a chance encounter at the market reveals Joon-ho, a more mature and warm person, approaching her. Drinks with friends, walks along the beach, and the small joys of a green onion bakery in Jindo gradually melt Soo-yeon's hardened heart. One night, she hears a strange noise at her house, and Joon-ho comes to her aid, terrified. It turns out the noise was caused by a lost Jindo puppy, and Joon-ho rescues the puppy, disregarding his injured hand. At that moment, Soo-yeon's heart is shaken even more. Meanwhile, when a producer from Seoul comes down to discuss the project, Joon-ho is frustrated, thinking things are going well for them. However, it was a simple business meeting, and Soo-yeon, oblivious to the misunderstanding, becomes worried about Joon-ho.
Soo-yeon and Joon-ho gradually rediscover forgotten feelings, the warm gazes they share, the unspoken feelings they convey. Joon-ho, in turn, begins to harbor feelings he had never expressed to Soo-yeon.
Soo-yeon, trapped by the demands and standards of the city, realizes through her hometown and time with Joon-ho that "happiness depends not on who you meet, but on how you live with your heart." Through moments of passing and reuniting, the two discover the potential for a quiet yet profound love.
