MBC's new drama "Chief Detective 1958" announced on the 17th that it has confirmed the appearance of Lee Je-hoon, Lee Dong-hwi, Choi Woo-sung, and Yoon Hyun-soo.

This work, which is scheduled to air next year, is a prequel work by the head of the drama investigation team, which aired between 1971 and 1989. In the past, the investigation team leader, where Choi Bul-am appeared, was broadcast a total of 880 times, recording the highest viewer rating of 70%.

The new work is set in the 1950s and 1960s, ahead of the original. The main character, Detective Park Yeong-han (Lee Je-hoon), will tell the story of confronting corruption with his three colleagues who are full of personalities.

In the original film, Choi Bul-am played Park Yeonng-han and was praised as 'Korea's Colombo'. As a result, attention is being paid to how Lee Je-hoon will interpret Park Yeong-han as a young man.

Lee Je-hoon said, "It's an honor to play Park Yeong-han's youth played by respected Choi Bul-am", adding, "I hope it will be a gift-like drama for those who miss those days and a fresh drama for those who are curious about that time".

Lee Dong-hwi, who will transform into Park Yeong-han's fellow detective Kim Sang-soon, said, "It is an honor to join a meaningful wor". Newcomers Choi Woo-sung and Yoon Hyun-soo play detectives Jo Kyeong-hwan and Seo Ho-jeong, respectively.
