According to their agency Ace Factory on the 23rd, Lee Jong-suk has been cast as the lead in "Iseop's Romance", while Lee Jun-hyuk will headline "A Casual Lie".
Both works are based on popular full-length novels by Kim Eon-hee, originally published as web novels. The two stories feature different protagonists within the same universe, and the live-action adaptations are expected to maintain this interconnected narrative as a series.
About the works
■ "Iseop's Romance"
An office romance between Tae Iseop, a third-generation chaebol who wants to do nothing, and Kang Min-kyeong, a woman determined to succeed. The drama follows the relationship between Tae Iseop, perfect in every way but inexperienced in love, and Kang Min-kyeong, the 'secret weapon' of TK Group.
■ "A Casual Lie"
A romance that begins when Tae Joon-seop, the perfect heir apparent and grandson of TK Group chairman Tae Si-hwan, meets copywriter Yeon Woo-kyung and becomes entangled in the conglomerate's succession battle.
Lee Jong-suk and Lee Jun-hyuk will transform into the protagonists of each series. The shared background of TK Group, along with the cousin relationship between Tae Iseop and Tae Joon-seop, connects the two stories within the same universe.
The series will be co-produced by Bon Factory, known for "Lovely Runner" and "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim", together with Ace Factory and A-Man Media, which produced the "Secret Forest" series.
As the two dramas share a connected universe, they aim to be produced simultaneously, with filming scheduled to begin within the year.
