According to industry sources on the 15th, Lee Jung-eun will star in the upcoming KBS 2TV weekend drama "I Went to School".
The series tells the story of an overly meddlesome mother who enrolls in college later in life and begins redesigning the second chapter of her life.
In the drama, Lee Jung-eun will play Yoon Ok-hee, a passionate mother who runs a tteokbokki restaurant specializing in instant tteokbokki.
Yoon Ok-hee is the head of the women's association in Inyeondong and wears countless 'official hats' in the neighborhood, serving as the chief school safety patrol leader, parking order supervisor, community center complaint mediator, and even the manager of the local group chat.
The script is written by Yang Hee-seung, known for "Oh My Ghostess", "Once Again", and "Crash Course in Romance", while directing will be handled by Lee Woong-hee, who previously helmed "My Perfect Stranger" and "The First Night With the Duke".
Lee Jung-eun and Yang Hee-seung are reuniting for a KBS 2TV weekend drama for the first time since "Once Again" in 2020.
Lee Jung-eun also made a special appearance in the JTBC drama "A Hundred Memories" last year thanks to her connection with Yang Hee-seung.
"I Went to School" will follow "Love Is Coming", starring Ahn Hee-yeon and Ha Seok-jin.
