Co-produced by Korean and Chinese companies, "Bounty Hunters" starring Lee along with Hong Kong actor Wallace Chung and Chinese actress Tiffany Tang was originally scheduled to open in June, but the release was pushed back a month to July 1 so some finishing touches could be made.
Expectations are high for the film in China.
Lee, one of the most-followed Korean stars on Weibo, the most popular social media site in China, has earned fame after starring in such TV hits as "Boys over Flowers" (2009) and "The Heirs" (2013).
The action-packed film was shot in various locations in Korea, China, Malaysia and Thailand.
