According to MyDaily on the 14th, Lim Ji-yeon will take on the lead role in the drama "Alike", where she will perform a dual role.

She plays Lee Eun-seok, an ordinary yet likable woman with a cheerful, charming, and humorous personality. A principled citizen who loves her family and believes in earning what she wants through hard work, she undergoes a transformation when someone casually tramples on the value of her blood, sweat, and effort, awakening a fierce and ruthless side hidden within her.

"Alike" is a modern-day revenge story inspired by "The Prince and the Pauper". It follows a poor job seeker who finally lands a position, only to be fired, and even imprisoned in place of a chaebol heir, because of their striking resemblance. She later teams up with other underdogs to overthrow the 'king'. The series blends exhilarating revenge, romance, and the origin story of a villain audiences can't help but root for, set in a morally gray world where the line between good and evil blurs.

Lim Ji-yeon has solidified her reputation as a 'must-watch' actress through standout performances in "The Glory", "Lies Hidden in My Garden", and "The Tale of Lady Ok". Her latest drama "My Royal Nemesis" has also drawn global attention, ranking No. 1 on Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English Shows during its first week of release, marking a first for SBS Friday-Saturday dramas.

The script is written by Kim In-young, with direction by Noh Young-seop.
