MC Mong Partially Guilty for Evading Military Duty

Singer and rapper MC Mong who was accused of evading mandatory military service by pulling out healthy teeth, has been found not guilty.
Seoul Central District Court declared Monday that they were unable to prove that the celebrity extracted the molars specifically to dodge the draft.
He was, however, sentenced to six months in prison, with one year of probation and 120 hours of community service for obstruction of justice by intentionally delaying his military enlistment on irrelevant grounds,. such as preparing for a civil service exam.
The rapper, who deferred his service six times and had 12 teeth removed by five dentists, is still legally exempt from the draft retest and duty because he was cleared of the main charges.
