"Motel California" Director Drops Out

Director Jang Joon-ho, who directed "Motel California" starring actors Lee Se-young and Na In-woo, has dropped out.

On the 24th, an MBC official said, "Director Jang Joon-ho, who directed "Motel California", has dropped out for health reasons".

Director Kim Hyung-min-IV, who directed Team B, will be in charge of the main production. "The filming is going on without any problems", a source said. "There is no impact from the main production change".

"Motel California", an MBC drama scheduled to air in 2025, is a remodeled romance drama about Ji Kang-hee (Lee Se-young), who was born in a motel in the countryside and grew up there, reunites with her first love in her hometown, where she fled from 12 years ago. It is based on the novel "Home, Bitter Home" written by Shim Yoon-seo in 2019. Lee Se-young, Na In-woo, Choi Min-soo, and Kim Tae-hyung have confirmed their roles.
