[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Nam Da-reum Joins TvN Drama "Goodbye My Life"

Nam Da-reum may be a favorite for heroes' younger selves, but the actor's next piece goes to the hopefully soon growing pile of more central roles. The young actor has been cast in "Goodbye My Life", a drama about a father's desperate attempt to leave his son with coping mechanisms, albeit actual mechanical ones.

The story of "Goodbye My Life" takes place in the near future, where a father whose life is about to be cut short creates an A.I clone of himself in order for his son to not be left all alone following his death. Nam Da-reum has been cast as the son, Min-jae. There is a hefty amount of emotional and moral implications to this topic, and while I don't expect a one-act drama to tackle them, I'm intrigued.
One element that makes this more promising is that the short will be directed by PD Lee Ho-jae-I of "SORI: Voice from the Heart". While I haven't watched it yet, I've been reading some good things about its portrayal of grief and loss through its sci-fi tools. Writer Choi Seong-joon is a fresh name, so I hope the two bring something exciting to the drama table.
"Goodbye My Life" is part of tvN's 'Drama Stage 2019' project, which will begin on December 1st, and air one single-act drama every week for 10 weeks.
