[Orion's Ramblings] Welcome to "Strangers from Hell"

We finally see the questionable neighbors of "Strangers from Hell" in their element, namely their tiny gosiwon- or dorm-style apartments where this social terror will be taking place for our poor protagonist. The drama has released two versions of a 'gosiwon teaser', giving the place itself the feel of a character.

Lee Jung-eun's Eom Bok-soon appears first, handing a unit key over to Yoon Jong-woo (Yim Si-wan) in the creepiest friendly manner possible, with a smile and a "Student! You're here?" Next up is Hong Nam-bok (Lee Joong-ok) enjoying some adult entertainment with his door open, the concept of privacy clearly escaping him.

Gosiwon Teaser (30s)

Our third tenant, Byeon Deuk-jong (Park Jong-hwan) is having fun with his toy gun, while tenant no. 4, Yoo Gi-hyeok (Lee Hyun-wook-I), looks like he could be carrying a real one in his bag. That's a fictional hitman if I've ever seen one. The teasers end with the fishy inhabitants peeking out their rooms to a still oblivious Jong-woo. The on-screen text reads 'We invite you to the gosiwon from Hell'. Thanks, I hate it.

I don't even know where to begin with all the delightful details. The tiny jiggle of Jong-woo's key in Bok-soon's hand, her clear preference for red polish, even that little flower on her cooling fan are oozing character. There are so many tantalizing details in each person's room, so pick your poison and prepare for the suffering starting on August 31st on OCN.
