Park Hae-jin Gives W50 Million to Relief Effort in Quake-Hit Gyeongju

Actor Park Hae-jin donated W50 million (~US$50,000) to the Korean Red Cross to aid restoration work in earthquake-damaged Gyeongju. The historic city has suffered over 400 aftershocks since a 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck on Sept. 12.

"Park is deeply saddened by the situation in the earthquake-stricken city and wants his donation to be put toward repairing and restoring many cultural treasures there", his agency said on Friday.
About 20 national treasures housed in the historic city were damaged during the recent earthquake and aftershocks.
