"The Handmaiden" was invited to the 69th Cannes International Film Festival and director Park Chan-wook, Kim Min-hee, Kim Tae-ri, Ha Jung-woo and Cho Jin-woong were there.

"The Handmaiden" is a movie about a wealthy lady who inherited her riches from her parents, an emperor who wants her wealth, and a servant and the heir to her wealth who is offered a deal from the emperor.
CJ Entertainment released stills of Park Chan-wook and the rest of the cast enjoying the heated moment of Cannes.
"The Handmaiden" was released for the first time through Cannes and it achieved great reviews about the story, actors and their synergy.
The release date in Korea is in June 1st.
