[Press Release] CJ ENM Secures Three Nominations at the 2025 ContentAsia Awards

Leading entertainment company CJ ENM has secured three nominations at the 6th ContentAsia Awards. The nominated titles include the drama series "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born", the competition reality show I-LAND2, and the variety show Apartment404.

Nominated in the Best Drama Series Made in Asia for a Regional or International Market category, "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born"-produced by Studio Dragon and globally available via Disney+-is a musical period drama set in 1950s Korea. The story follows a gifted young vocalist navigating the world of gukgeuk (traditional Korean female opera), weaving together themes of ambition, resilience, and artistry through an emotionally rich and visually captivating narrative. The series was also previously nominated at the 2025 Banff Rockie Awards.

Apartment404, nominated in the Best Variety Programme Made in Asia category, is a mystery-themed variety show that has gained popularity on Amazon Prime Video. Featuring six cast members, the show revisits strange and eerie real-life incidents that occurred in apartment buildings across Korea. Blending humor, suspense, and reenactment, it redefines the variety format for modern audiences. The series has also earned nominations at the Asian Television Awards and the Asian Academy Creative Awards.

In the Best Original Reality Programme Made in Asia category, I-LAND2-an ambitious reality competition series created by CJ ENM's Mnet-follows 24 female K-pop trainees as they undergo intensive training and missions to debut as a next-generation global girl group. The show has been widely praised for its innovative production, cinematic scale, and compelling storytelling. I-LAND2 was previously nominated at the Asian Television Awards, while the first season earned a nomination at the International Emmy Awards.
